Pre-Season

May 12, 2026 - Evaluations (5-7:00 pm)

All swimmers that are NEW to the Stingray Team, no matter what age, are required to come to New Swimmer Evaluations.

• Skill Assessment: Our experienced coaches will conduct a thorough evaluation of each swimmer's skills, including stroke technique, endurance, and overall water comfort.
• Team Placement: Based on the evaluation, swimmers will be placed in the appropriate group within the Oakwood Swim Team, ensuring they receive the right level of training and support.
• Swim Lessons Recommendation: For those who may need a bit more practice before joining the team, we offer recommendations for swim lessons to help build confidence and skills in the water, we will have a swim instructor onsite who can answer questions about the program. 

Practice Begins

May 13-22, 2026 - Afternoon practices (Monday - Friday)

4:30–5:30 PM – 11 & up • 5:30–6:30 PM – 10 & under • 6:30–7:00 PM – Junior Rays

May 19, 2026 - Swim and Dive Team Swimsuit Fittings at Oakwood (4-7pm)

Swim N Tri onsite with suits, goggles, cap, and sizing/ordering support. 

May 21, 2026 - Parent Meeting (during your child's practice time)

4:30–5:30 PM – 11 & up parents • 5:30–6:30 PM – 10 & under parents • 6:30–7:00 PM – Junior Ray parents

May 25, 2026 - No practice & Last day for regular price registration

Swimmers may choose AM or PM practice.

July 9, 2026 - Swim-A-Thon - 5:00-6:30 pm Swim-A-Thon, followed by Family Fun Night from 6:30-8:00pm
